console coin holder removal

I'm trying to change the emergency brake switch on my 98 Boxster, and can't figure out how to remove the coin holder that covers one of the screws.
Is there some trick to release it?

Do you mean the two plastic push pins that hold it in place?

I studied it carefully--and I can't find push pins anywhere. Are they hidden somehow?

It's the part shown in "101 Projects..." on page 182 in purple arrow.
