Trans fluid change
Hi all,
I could use a little help with changing the tiptronic fluid in my 2007 Cayman base. Does the drain plug get a crush washer? Is sealant used on the fluid pan? Thanks for the help. Gary |

If I remember right, I think the drain plug has a rubber o-ring, and there is a special gasket for the plan. Do a search here on PelicanParts for what you will need.

Brian,
Thanks for the reply. I contacted the Porsche person at Pelican and he agreed with you. An o ring is needed on the filler plug but he was not completely sure about the drain plug. He felt it may be a tapered thread and would not need a crush washer. I am going with his best opinion and just screwing it in. As for the gasket I am not going to use a sealant and see what happens.
