Dash Light Test with key in acc/run position
 

Before starting the car I place the key in the run, not start position. All the lights on the dash illuminate and the row of red indicator lights all come on. The only one that goes out after a few seconds is the airbag light. I can start the car and the light does not come on. I have checked with the durametric and don't have any airbag faults or codes.

I don't remember this always happening, I thought all the lights stayed on until you actually start the car???

I don't think this is hurting anything, I just found it strange?

Anybody else notice this???

These air bag systems run a diagnostics test when first powered up; once completed, the dash light goes out. You probably did not turn the key to the off position for a few seconds before starting the car, so the diagnostics were complete and the light stayed off.
