03 986 boxster ignition switch failure

He all, went to start my car this morning,key turned fine,dash lights all came on but nothing..Not a click or any other symptom..Is that a sign of a bad electrical switch on the back of the ignition switch? Went though the usual set-up..steering wheel unlocked,it had been on a trickle charger for days..Any answers out there?
