Ignition switch Failed

2000 Boxster S made January 2000. Ignition switch locked up, I can't insert key or remove key tumblers following Wayne's instructions from his book. I have removed the Ignition switch from under the dash.

Is there a question in there somewhere?

How can I remove the ignition switch where the key inserts?

Hmmm. You don't have a lot to lose at this point, but you don't want to trash things, clearly. I'd try loading the key slot up with WD40 and then gently trying to work the key in. Let it sit for a bit and try again. Patience and lubrication are going to be your friends...

Find a good locksmith, or replace the entire assembly, then.
