 Problem I have a question on my 2007 Porsche cayman base I'm in the process of replacing the clutch in this vehicle. After removing the transmission, I noticed that the rubber elbow from the air cleaner to the intake pipe was  all caved in and distorted. I removed it thinking it was installed incorrectly I noticed how offset the two pipes were. I worked on it for more than a hour trying to get it back together I tried to get the kinks out with no avail. It looks the same as when I removed it.Its so kinked I'm afraid its restricting the intake air flow. Anybody haven ideas? I tried lining the seam but made no difference |

 How are you supporting the back of the engine? It sounds very much like it’s dropped down (as you’ve removed the transmission) and that is what’s causing the issue you describe. |

 problem solved Thank you again for the solution, I felt like an idiot when i jacked up the engine and pop,  it was all straight. sometimes the simple solutions are totally overlooked. I looked into the mirror and slapped myself and said get with it man. Thanks |

 fly wheel torque On my 2007 cayman I put a new flywheel on, torqued the bolts to 19.00 ft pounds marked 120 degree marks on each bolt and began the final tightening. I'm using a 2ft breaker bar to get to the mark. I'm up to about 90 degrees on each bolt. I'm pulling so hard on the breaker bar I'm afraid I'm going to snap the bolt before I get to the mark My question is, Is this normal?? should I keep going? |
