O2 error codes after replacing clutch
Hey guys. I just replaced the clutch in my 2005 Boxster S. The clutch replacement went well and the car drives great but after I drove the car for the first 1/2 hour the CEL came on. The Durametric identifies both P0036 and 0056 O2 codes which are for the post catalytic sensors. I first checked the manifold joints where I used all new bolts and aluminum gaskets thinking that they were maybe gapped and air was getting in. They are tight as I couldn’t get a 0.005” feeler gauge anywhere in the two joints.
There is also moisture dripping from the exhaust and the car has never done that. From an exhaust system standpoint all I did was take the muffler off and put it back on two weeks later. All of the O2 sensors were untouched and their wiring is all intact. I reset the fault codes and they come right back as soon as I start the car. Any ideas on what could have happened? I just can’t believe both after-cat sensors went bad at the same time??? Any suggestions would be appreciated! |
Both codes are for the heaters in each sensor; you have a wiring harness issue.
