Is a new oil plug necessary with each oil change?

No. A new aluminum washer for the plug is necessary with each oil change, but not a new plug (unless it is damaged). Pelican sells the washer at https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/90012310630M131.htm?pn=900-123-106-30-M131&bt=Y&fs=0&SVSVSI=6515

Also with the new oil filter, be sure to get a new gasket. Some of the filters come with them and some don't.
