Power steering reservoir
Hi All
2000 model Boxster S manual, 180 000 km. Can anyone tel me how the power steering reservoir attaches to the p/s pump? Does the collar screw on or is it a push and turn fastener? While replacing the serpentine belt I noticed that the p/s reservoir was loose and 'wobbling' around. There was no loss of fluid and there aren't any problems with the p/s - yet. The problem is that to access the collar is almost impossible without extensive dismantling. I have been able to turn the collar clockwise (to tighten) but it meets resistance without locking the reservoir in place. Doesn't feel like dirt in the threads but a serious 'detent' which make me think that its a push and turn fastener. |

It is a twist and turn to lock into place. When seated it will not wobble around.
Cheers
