2000 Boxter radio issue
A friend just purchased a 2000 Boxter. He is saying he has a CDR220 radio that holds 1 CD at a time. He pushed the eject button, nothing came out and he inserted his own CD. When he puts it on CD, it is not playing his CD but something completely different. I have not seen the car but will probably run over there tomorrow to look at it. He says there is no multi-CD box in the trunk. I asked him if it is possible there is a aftermarket CD player under the seat? Any suggestions on where to look for this mysterious CD or audio source? Thanks.

I bought my 2000 Boxster in 2003 with the CDR-220. I had similar issues with it. I took it to my dealer & they made it better but not great. At some point I bought a 2002 model standard Radio/CD & it still works & sounds much better than the CDR-220. There are small company's that specialize in radios like these, might want to google them. I lived off the coast of South Carolina for 3 months.
