Brake Noises
Hello guys, I not good with cars so I need help for my 2015 Porsche Cayman with over 50K Mileage. When I brake, I hear squeaking noises and it irritates me hearing that. Does it sound good to replace the brake pads?
Thank you so much! |

That noise is telling you the pads are worn out. If you do not replace the pads soon the rotors will be also needed.

Squeaking or scraping? Scraping could be the pads not backing off. The pads have wear sensors so if the pads are worn out the light will show on the dash.
Does it go away when you push on the brake pedal? I did not measure the rotors last time I changed mine but most car's rotors are made at the minimum thickness so as soon as you touch the pads to them they have to be replaced with the pads. Shops will not change pads on under size rotors. |

Squeaky Noises
Thank you @JackDidley and @DMadigan. My brother just brought me R1 Concepts brake pads. Does Ceramic type good for it?
