steering issue

Hi all, I recently was driving my 2001 boxster when I noticed that my steering wheel was not centered as it had been. I hadn't hit anything or pot holes. I also noticed the car seemed to want to dart around a little bit. I am thinking I need a new rack and pinion. Anyone else familiar with this? Thanks! Bill

Sounds more like you need a front end alignment check.

Start with an alignment. That process should also tell you if the tie rods or other pieces need replacement.

I will have the front end and alignment checked. I had it aligned at Porsch dealership about a year ago. Thanks for your input everyone
