Boxster shift cable upgrade - with matching bracket???

I bought new cables from Porsche for my 2000 Boxster S with 6 speed. They are beefier at the transmission end. But they don't mount on the stock bracket. It seems there is supposed to be a revised bracket too, to go with the revised cables.

Can anyone tell me the different part number for it?

I ordered it from Porsche and the one they supplied is identical to the one on the car.

I have asked my Porsche parts manager to figure it out. But I am running up against a deadline to get this car going. So I'm hoping someone else may know the correct part.

Or am I not understanding how the new cables work. Here are pictures of the new cables. The orange arrow points to the larger sleeve. It seems to need the mount to be mounted further from the ends. Or does it actually collapse during use? I have moved them back and forth and they don't seem to budge.
