Cayman S TPC on eBay...anybody recognize??
Not my car or a friend's. The Seller has no knowledge of the history of this modded CS TPC..owned for a month and selling. Claims bought from prior Owner's lawyer (Estate sale?) with car coming from Knoxville, TN. Knoxville Performance nor TPC know nothing about her. Curious if anybody here has seen or heard about this Cayman...auction is No Reserve and statements in the copy suggest a bit of exageration. No way TPC would suggest upping the boost over 5.5 psi via a Greddy Boost Contoller w/o a built engine or, at the minimum, an upgraded clutch. Seller has no Invoices, no knowledge of TPC kit installer and other "Buyer Beware" flags. Have you seen this car !! |

Sounds like somebody got HP greedy and the pin has been pulled. Caveat emptor.

Talked with TPC...don't know the car and stated they don't recommend boost levels above 6 psi. Added that their initial kits would use Revo reflash OBDII plugin programmers..they now do their own ECU reflashes. Nashville Porsche (Brentwood) has yet to answer my voice mails.

I spoke with TPC as well. Very friendly. Claim they have their kits on 200 plus cars. Like someone above said, under 6 psi or something. They have cars with over 100k on the turbo kit and claim no problems.
The car on Ebay should be 420 at the rear wheels. If the car is sorted that is a deal. Not even sure how you could find the right person to do a proper PPI.

Chances are the Porsche dealership will not tell you anything due to privacy issues.
If only 200 turbos have been installed, why can you always find one for sale?
