Boxster 986 climate control problem
hi all
i have Boxster 986 climate control problem . quite simply .... sometimes it works fine and sometimes its just dead. i.e. The climate control unit shows no LCD display and nothing works , no heat, no blower no nothing. what is odd is that it is intermittent. This week it worked for five outings in the car tehn not for the following two. Any ideas anyone? Ive pulled the unit out and unplugged and replugged the connectors on the back whihc mde no difference and checked the fuse connectors and they dont seem corroded or oxidised and fiddlying with the fuse doesnt make any difference. is it possible the unit is dying and would would intermittently? thanks in advance for any input Dom (cold and steamed up in Bristol) |

986 and 996 Climate Control LCD Screen Replacement Kit
They have been supplying it for at least 15 years. Not OEM but works. Search the forum |

Theyre for sale on Amazon for $55. I installed one last winter and it either flawlessly (just don't flip the lcd upside down, which is easier to do then you'd think)
