Going faster all the time

So... you have 2K and good platform to begin...
So imagine you have a fully sorted (new suspension, brakes, clutch, IMS, Fuel filter, etc.) 1st gen boxster. She's in generally nice condition, even sporting a new windshield and shifter...
Where do you go from here? You realize she will never win stoplight drag-races with competent muscle... or be truly appreciated for the decades-old revolution she was. What do you do? She is analog in the most modern, yet wholesome sense of the word. Cables still activate her trunk release, as well as throttle. When you cross 5K you feel the engine prepare for more. But if the battery died, you could still pull magic by dumping the clutch, given you had friends for a seance or enough space. On top of that, she has a new battery and alternator. Surely a pre-internet-followed car is worth more... better than a Tesla for reasons Elon forgot since the first roadster that he commissioned/stole and beyond. How would you improve a contemporary classic? Hands off.. or update it all? ![]()

You didn't say how you intended to use it.
Drive in the winter snow? Modern infotainment? Hardtop? Glass window top? Litronics? Driving lessons? Tires (type and condition)? |

Yeah, that is kinda my issue.
I am not sure where to go from here. I do have a spare set of wheels with dedicated snows, and a hardtop. I keep waffling in installing the Porsche updated stereo with Bluetooth/Apple play. the Litronics is an interesting idea.

Totally depends on how you plan to use the car.
Daily Driver- If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Weekend canyon carver- Really good summer tires, high temp brake pads, performance alignment. I personally never listen to the onboard stereo so that would be DFL on my priority list. My iPhone and a good set of IEMs sound 100x better than a live sound system because they eliminate ambient road and wind noise. I owned a 1998 Boxster 2.5L for 10 years and it was the most fun car ever.
