Newbie with an indicator problem

I have a 2002 Boxster S and the Indicators do not automatically cancel once the corner is turned. This is preventing me from road registering the car (Australia).
Is there a repair or do I need to replace the entire Turn Signal assembly?
Thanks for any assistance.

It sounds like a bad turn signal switch.

Might need to replace the turn signal stalk assembly. Porsche calls it "Switch. Steering. Column. Combination."

There are 2 versions, one with and one without speed control.
