Smog - OBD Secondary Air Not Setting? Drive Cycle, etc

Hi All,

My 987.1 S needs to be smogged and the OBD Evap code is unset. The other codes are fine.

I've seen the posts about the drive cycle procedures, I tried this morning. No luck.

It looks like the one I really need to do is the STEP 1. Cold start idle for 2.5 min.

The only thing I can think of is that with it being 90 deg out, that the inside of the garage never got cool enough for the car to totally get down to about 70 deg when I tried first thing in the morning?

I'm going to leave it out tonight since the temp will drop to the high 50's tonight. Then try again.

Any other tips?

Thanks!

Driving the car is the only way to find out if the code will come back or not. Sometimes just straight highway driving isnt enough. You my also need to do some "city" driving (stop, go, accelerate, etc)
