Thumbs up 986 2003 Smoke Bombs through left hand corners (track)

Hi there,

Currently have a Porsche Boxster 3.2s 2003 race car which is producing large smoke bombs through high loaded left hand corners (usually 2nd to 3rd gear). The AOS has been replaced as well as the deep sump with the X51 baffle. The intake manifolds are full with oil - each time it happens. The scavenger pumps are the correct way round so just wondering if anyone has had this issue before or had a scavenger pump fail.

Thanks in advance!

Probably stupid question, but what quantity oil level? M96 motors are sensitive to overage. I learned this the hard way--I had deep sump but no X51 baffle--but did have modified internal flaps. I inadvertently overfilled by .05 quarts. Do you feel any loss of power at the time it happens?

Thanks for the response. It has been tried at all oil levels. Yes there is a loss of power when it happens

What brand of AOS did you use? The aftermarket types are known for poor quality.

Did you put in the Motorsports AOS or regular?
