2006 Boxster S piston

I am having trouble sourcing a piston for a 2006 porsche boxter s 3.2. The part number is 996-103-032-15. This seems to be a very specific piston that no one has The only place that has it is from Sunset Porsche but it may take 6 weeks and 800 dollars. I also checked with LN engineering and DC automotive no luck so far. Does anyone know a place I could find a used piston for this car? any help is appreciated.

Buying a used piston for one of these engines is like buying a used condom, you know what it has been used for.........

That’s a first. I think that I can safely state that selling used pistons (Porsche or otherwise) is a business that simply doesn’t exist.

Talk to the guys that rebuild those engines. They probably throw them in the recycle bin. We only do air cooled but we never reuse pistons.

There's a reason why they throw them into the bin...................
