Battery Tender CTEK
I recently stared using a CTEK MXS 5.0 to maintain my Boxster battery during the winter. The car is outside in 20-30 degree weather with the CTEK in the fronk and the battery connected in the car. A few weeks ago I first hooked it up and waited for it to get to step 7 and then left it alone. Today I took a look and it was at step 8 and, while I was watching, it went to step 4! Is that normal?

Yes; Ctek maintainers will drop back down to a prescribed charging level automatically when the state of charge bleeds off, will charge the battery back to 100% and switch off, waiting for it to bleed off again.

JFP Thanks, I just checked and its back to 7. I guess when I checked last time energizing the key fob and the fronk light was enough to cause it to reset.
