2014 981 Cayman Base heater issues
Like many others I am having heater/AC issues. The AC will run for about a minute before it shuts off and then I have to restart the car to get it to work again.
On cool days there seems to be no problem but on a hot day it will run for about 60 seconds before shutting down. My car has the basic heater controls and if I run the fan on the highest couple of settings it continues to work, so I can be cool but I would like to be able to turn down the fan. So far I have replaced in no particular order Heater regulator/resistor - Used a Hitachi branded one Heater Blower motor Both Cabin filters New battery - coded to the car I show no faults with my diagnostic tool. Anyone have ideas what to try next? |

When you say “it shuts off”, what exactly shuts off? Does the entire system shut off? Just the fan? Just the air conditioning (cooling)function?

The console below the stereo still functions but that fan shuts down. So air no longer comes out of the vents.
