Digital Speedometer Display
 

I have a 1999 986 and recently the digital speedometer display went dim. At first I thought it was completely dead, but on closer inspection I can see that the display is functional, just almost too dim to be seen. My suspicion is that it is backlit by a bulb... can any of you tell me if this is the case? If so, is the bulb hard to replace?

There is a bulb behind each of the 3 displays. You get to the bulbs from behind the cluster, which means you have to remove the cluster. Jeff
