I just picked up a 98. I was wondering if there is a cup holder arangement that seems to be the preferred way to go.

Some of the Boxsters have a cup holder module that pops out of the dash. The big drawback is that it is above the stereo and climate control; if you spill something it could do some damage.
Tweeks has a couple of alternatives: http://www.tweeks.com/shop?frame=8.92.3540 http://www.tweeks.com/shop?frame=8.92.3294 I'm thinking about going with the clip on version.

I have one similar to the second link. It's from someone like 986 Parts Only. Or something like that. He's in the mags. It costs more than the Tweeks (69.00) and probably isn't any better. But it's a nice unit.

By far, the best solution I've found is http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/. I have one of these in my car and I love it. Absolutely the best cup holder I've ever used.
