engine check light on
 

the engine check light just came on . my 97 boxster has 41K miles. wondering if anyone knows what it might be and what can I check before I take it to the dealer next week.

I had my check engine light come on one day. I turned off the radio...make sure you know your code. disconnect the battery for a few seconds (negitive first then positive...re connect positive then negitive) per service book. Be sure that when you go to restart your car that the drivers door is closed and that no other doors are open. if you don't the dash will not operate correctly and you will have to do it all over again. If the light goes out it was something simple...if it comes back on ...have the codes read at the dealer.

Wow- that some strange stuff there bubba. I'm not even going to ask why, but thanks alot, I'll let you know what happened.
