Inside my headlight housings (Boxster S) I can see small measuring bars.....
that move in and out when the ignition is turned on. They look like tiny rulers with graduations on them.
What do they represent? The reason I ask is that the two are not equal and turning the headlight ajustment bolts doesn't affect them at all. Since Litronics are self-levelling, they are probably used for base alignment. They wouldn't normally be equal, as the driver's side light is aimed lower to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. Litronics don't normally need any user adjustment.
