track tires
I have Kuhmo V700 Victoracers on my '00 Boxster S for the track. When changing back to street wheels and tires after two DE days, I found what appears to be age cracks on the INSIDE ONLY of the front tires
where the tread meets the sidewall. (225/45xZR17). Tires came with the car when I bought it, (used), Tread wear is greatest on the outside as you would expect and the rubber is still soft. Tires are 3?? years old. 1.5 deg. camber and zero toe. Any thoughts or comments? Ed ![]() |

Three years is pretty old on DOT-R compounds. I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless the tire starts coming apart. I would seriously consider replacing them before next season however.

Replaceing them next season seems to be the consensious. It just seemed unusual. I have some seriously old BFG R1's on a 914-6 that don't have any issues.
