Wanted Boxster Clam Shell Cover

I like to buy one of these covers, any color is fine (black an instant hit). Please e-mail at Marksmansales@comcast.net or call me at 253/951-8000. Thanks Mike

That is my car. They are called the humps or speedster covers. Mine are the original factory version but Porsche has come out with a new version - but they all look the same.

There are aftermarket versions around. I have not seen them, but they do not have good reviews.

There is a factory set on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7917374674&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT

Thanks so much for all your help! I purchased one today for $750. Meanwhile I found out that quotes from one Porsche Dealer to another will differ greatly. I received quotes for this speedster cover ranging from $950 to $1153!

When you get them inspect for damage since Porsche does not package them well. They come in a very large box. My friend owns a body shop and I had them sent directly to the shop. Have them match the paint to your car, not by just using the color code. My friend pointed out I had 3 shades of silver, so he matched it to the clamshell since that is where the humps sit.

Top has to be down. Included with the humps is a clip which deactivates the electric top so it cannot accidently be raised.

I am sorry I meant where do you put the humps? Do they physically fit anywhere if you have to put the top up.

They fit in an empty rear trunk.
