Supercharged Boxster

I recently purchased a 97 Boxster with a TPC supercharger kit installed. The car is not as impressive as I thought it would be, so Im thinking about increasing the boast a little. Any one have this kit? If so what boast levels are you running?

If you want to blow up your engine feel free to increase the boost. The 4.5 psi is as much as you can safely use.

that's pretty much what I thought. I saw your list of cars, I also have a 3.6 SC Im trying to sell. I wish the supercharged boxster was about as fast as my SC

Cman,

My Boxster was a 2.5L supercharged with the TPC kit. Like you when comparing it to the 3.6L 911, it still was found to be lacking. Thus in went a 3.4L 996 engine and all is well.

Unless you lower the compression or figure out a way to add an intercooler you are pretty much limited to the 4.5lbs of boost.

It will cost you about $10k minimum if you do all the work yourself.

That would include the motor if you find a good used one, a new (reman) motor from Porsche will cost on the order of $10k or so(rough estimate) since you wouldn't have a core so you would forfit the core deposit.

Not sure this helps, but looked like a sweet deal so far...
