Boxster RS
Is there such a thing?
I saw one badged this way at a dealer and had never heard of such a thing- Is it a fake? |

To my knowledge, the factory never made a "Boxster RS". But given the "creative juices" that flow amongst the Pelican crowd, I think the term "fake" isn't quite appropriate. Look at it as someone's interpretation of what the factory might have built - had the factory displayed the foresight to lavish such ideas on this wonderful chassis instead of restricting their thinking to only the 911 chassis.

Agree w/Jeremy 100%. Any details on the car?
It's such a shame the factory won't let the Boxster be all it can be....what a great car.

It looked like a completely stock 98 model- the dealer was closed when I was looking at it so I could not ask questions-

Boxster RS is like Callaway Cars or Saleen
They take stock Porsche and upgrade them and re-badge. If the one you saw was real RS could be way hot... See here for example http://www.ramis-porsche.com/rs.htm |
