Spoiler will not raise at high speeds

I bought my 2004 Boxster about 2 months ago. The rear spoiler will not raise at speeds higher than 70 miles an hour as the owner's manual states it will. I can get it to raise by pressing the rocker switch near the footboard though. Is this something that the dealer will have to fix under warranty? Is there something else I can try to get it to work?

Are you sure the spoiler will not raise? It's hard as hell to see when driving. I'm guessing you viewed it from a place other than the drivers seat.

Well actually no, I've viewed it while passing large dark-colored vehicles and looking at the reflection. Not very good way to do it I guess. I think I'll have a friend drive along side me and see if he can see it raise. I could put a piece of masking tape over it and see if it's broken after a drive down the highway.

And you need to go a bit faster. Like 75 mph plus.

Can you reprogram it to come up at let's say 50 mph?

I followed a Boxster a few years ago down a nice road in my Geo Tracker (pre 911 purchase). I know the Tracker was not doing 70mph to keep up, and would of flew off the road if it could of gone that fast. I could see the spoiler come up a few times from 100-200 feet away.

You can hit the switch manually and raise it anytime you'd like.
