Just stumbled by this web site and glad I did... Just purchased 2000 Boxster 2.7 with 18,800 miles in Guards Red/black from original owner in N.J. I hope to learn a lot from the members here and maybe some day I can contribute something worthy. Will attach photo when I get the car delivered (2/18/06).

I've just started looking at this board, as all my previous and current cars are 911s. However, I've just purchased an '02 Boxster S with 8k miles; so now I'm also a water pumper. These are wonderfully fun cars; great handling and just a joy to drive with the top down. Probably not as easy to work on as my '73 RS clone, but I'll leave that to my Porsche wrench.
