removing front&rear spring struts
After following instructions on CD manual the Spring strut would not come out of the wheel well even with much shoving and pulling, banging!!! The only option seemed to be to remove the bolt on the control arm - this obviously changes the toe in/out adjustment. The position was marked and was replaced in this same position, will I need an alignment?

you need alignment when you remove the strut regardless of whether you remove the control arm bolt. the reason is that your camber settings will change. by the way, you only need to LOOSEN the control arm bolt to get the strut out (the control arm won't swing down unless you loosen the bolt a bit).

correct, loosen the lower control arm bolt and you should be able to slide it out.
