Varta 625U Battery?
Hi guys,

Radio Shack CR2032 (23-162) easily available. Change them both (because you do have a spare key, don't you?) every year.

CR2032 doesn't fit my key. CR2032 is a flat battery.

The battery part number is PNA 869 246 for the early 986 637 041 00 key (M531/532 alarm) . Stoddards has the battery in stock, but Porsche US is still on back order. As the key is now 10 years old, you might want to get a new key assembly as they do wear out.
97 Boxster can have either type of key.

Any Porsche dealer will supply you the key. Probably easy enough to let them sort out the code. You will need the VIN number when ordering the key.
