Modular Dash

I was tired of the "standard" layout of the center dash; i.e. climate control, radio and bins. The cupholders and cd storage were a waste of space and I needed more storage bins. After accumulating the necessary components, I went to work to re-arrange the dash. Porsche did a very nice job of making this area modular so you can move things around as you wish. I must admit, I've never seen anyone put the radio in this position and I think it works very well. Interested in your feedback.

The parts necessary to move the dash components around are as follows:

A. Move climate control to upper position: 2 adapters 996 573 501 00 trim 996 552 677 00

B. Upper storage bin 996 552 253 01

C. Lower storage bin 996 552 243 01

Remove cupholders and cd storage tray, sell on eBay for big $. The rest is just moving the wiring harness around; it all works.

All available from Pelican.

BTW, my stereo is stock CDR-220 (rarely used)
