Drove 2003 Boxster S and loved it!!!
Has anyone who owns a 1997-2002 Boxster had the opportunity to drive an older Boxster S (2003-2004). I know there were some changes both internally and cosmetically, but I didn't know that it would be that much. I have a 2002 Boxster S and the clutch is very hard compared to the 2003. The engine on the 2003 revs better, it seems like it revs faster (light flywheel ????), and the exhaust sound is phenomenal. I know that the engine in 2003 has a new engine management system and the exhaust is different. I also heard that the clutch in 2003 was changed. Does anybody know what was changed?? or improved. Is the flywheel different???
If anyone knows the differences between the clutch, flywheel between years 2002 and 2003. I was thinking of replacing my exhaust with a 2003 (not for the power, only for the sound) and maybe the clutch and/or flywheel. let me know what you guys think or find out. Thanks, LRR |

You could always sell your 2002 and buy a 2004!, Might actually be cheaper in the long run and you may even find one under warranty!

I paid $27k for the 2002 Boxster S, I won't find a 2003 or 2004 for that bargain. I will slowly, bring up my 2002 to 2003 or 2004 spec. |
