Still Have Questions :rolleyes:OK, it has been a long time since I have been on line here. Getting ready to deploy to the gulf again so still have time for some research. I have a few basic questions. I read recently that the boxster engine can not be rebuilt, is that true? Also the RMS problem, I understand that it is less prevalent in the 2002 and later cars but has it been fixed in the newer boxsters? Thanks for any help. |

Hey, thanks for all of the responses, really appreciate the help!!! :( |

 Mostly; Not really Quote:
 a) lack of parts available b) cannot be bored or honed due to very complicated deposition process to put silicon on the inside walls of the cylinders. But unless you have catastrophic failure, you will almost NEVER wear through the silicon anyway 2. RMS is generally not a big issue anyway. Messy, but generally harmless unless it leaks a LOT. Never cars are less prone to it, but there are still RMS failures on 9x7 series cars. Grant |
