986 a true Porsche
Just completed a maintenance project on my wife's Boxster and I can truly say, it's a Porsche. To vork on zees autos, you must:
Be very flexible Be very patient Be able to crawl or at least reach into very small spaces Own a lift, several floor jacks and a variety of tools Now I've been a DIY guy on my 911s for close to 20 years, but after CHANGING THE MOTOR MOUNT on the 986, there's no question that it's a Porsche. Knuckle scuffing was kept to a minimum by starting early and working patiently. Of course, when it went back together properly (with some creative persuasion and a few not-so-nice words), there WAS that feeling of satisfaction........
