Performance Chips-Cayman

I'm close to buying a 2008 Cayman. Standard model, not an S.

Question is whether anyone is familiar with a chip that might boost the performance. Would like more get up & go but don't wanna spend the extra
$8-10 K for an S.

I understand that chips exist that plug into the OBD port and can be removed when one needs warranty work done , but have not been able to find any info for a 2008 Cayman.
