Engine upgrade for boxter-help!
I have a 1998 Boxter with a blown engine, I am low on cash, what is the easiest, best, cheapest upgrade for my car?
|
There is no cheapest upgrade.
You could buy a used engine, but you already have one. See if the one you have can be repaired. If those options don't work, then a Porsche reman unit, plus all the upgrades and extra parts (clutch, flywheel, coolant tank etc..) would be the answer. Or sell the car as is. |
How difficult is it to install a 3.2l engine from a boxter s?
|
Roock has a place in Atlanta. Near Howell Mill Rd and I 75. Go see them. They have several options for you to consider. If mine ever blows, I would like to do a 3.4 and perhaps a supercharger to boot, if I get a new or remanufactured engine.

autowiz, Do you know if yours was one of the sleeved engines from 98? If so you might want to consider contacting PCNA for help.

I think it depends on what your budget is.
If its not your daily driver, deffinitly go with a build on your own time. Do you know the cause of of the faliar? |
