Porsche Crest NTB or NT RENT Porsche tool 9599 from sombebody!!!

Hey guys:
I'm rebuilding my '99 2.5 engine and need to rent/buy porsche special tool 9599 from somebody, only for a few days. These are the tools used to tension the chains while adjusting timing on M96 engines.

Either that, or somebody could point me to where they can be purchased other than the dealer, (here, they NOT helpful unless you buy a few 100K cars from them first) or we can come to an agreement to rent (maybe with a deposit or something?).

I'm getting my crankcase rebuild at LN Engineering Nickies and upgrading it to a 2.9 with a 78mm crank. Also upgraded IMS in the process. Thanks Charles!!!

Thanks to anybody that can help.

Fred

There was a fellow that was going to start making and selling special tools. Do a search. I will see if I saved it. But unless you plan on doing it again how much more for them to button it up, the lines of cost on the graph may cross early.

I would really appreciate it. If I only had anybody that could give me the measurements. I have access to a machine shop and my bro is a T&D.

thanks for any info you can find.

I don't know if I understood you correctly. I guess you are suggesting for LN Engineering to "button the engine up". The thing is that LN is only doing the cylinder work and the IMS upgrade. I'm doing the reassembly at home. In regards of cost, that's the thing. I do not even know how much they would cost. I guess that $200 or something like that is acceptable to me. My brother is also interested in making these tools and I could also sell the tool back on ebay or this forum to recup the money invested.

Detailed specs will also be helpful...

Thanks beforehand for any help.
