Changing Clutch

I just changed the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing and I noticed that I can still rotate the back wheels when it's in or out of gear. Any advice?

Thanks!
Robert

That sounds correct - the differential allows each wheel to spin -
Unless of course you have a limited slip diff.

Have you done a test drive with the new clutch?
What year, model is the car - this helps in answering questions?

Take care,

That sounds good. I haven't tested it yet because I didn't want to put everything back together and realize that it shouldn't be like that.

It's just a 2003 Boxster, not the S. Thanks!

If you hold one wheel locked, then you should not be able to spin the other wheel. If you're very careful too, you can start the car up and test the clutch with the car up on the jack stands. Don't run it too fast, and make sure children, pets and other small animals are not in front of your car. Start it up (make sure the exhaust is routed out of your garage), and then put it in gear to test the clutch. You can apply a small load with the brakes or the handbrake for a short period of time.
