The article by Wayne Dempsey about replacing the stereo head unit in a Boxster appears to be for a CDR-220 stereo. I have a CDR-23 stereo which has an amplifier in the trunk. I've heard this is a Bose MOST system. Will the same procedures from the article work for my stereo? I just want to replace the head unit with an aftermarket stereo.

Take a look at our Boxster Forums - there is a bunch of information in there on what needs to be done to work with the MOST system here. Basically, the system is upgradeable, but the BOSE system may be a bit more difficult to work with.
