check engine light

whenever i stop for refuel, motor will turnover but not crank unless gas pedal is depressed, interestingly i refueled cold at home from a gas can and it works correctly but the fuel gauge registers the previous half tank level. at a subsequent refuel at the gas station same starting issue but gauge works. check engine codes for O2 sensor rich/lean.had it checked out at garage & was told MAF sensor, but this does not make sense as the car runs great otherwise. i'm thinking maybe evap system? anyone had a similar issue or ideas?p.s. i cleaned MAF,installed new plugs & filters, no difference

Changing the charcoal canister typically fixes this problem. It's this part here:
