Hi Guys!
We have one new 2001 replacement Boxster S engine available. This is complete as it would come directly from Porsche with intake, exhaust manifolds, wiring harness, starter, alternator, etc. $9500. May give credit for your core engine although your core is not required. Contact me with any questions you have! ![]() ![]()

Not to hijack- but looking at that last pic- how come the headers do not have the normal integrated cats? That isn't normal for a 2001 S engine, is it? Just curious.

Good eye - that looks like the early 2.5 headers bolted onto that engine?

Just checked this and this is a photo of this exact motor which is actually an ROW engine. ROW(Rest of World) engines didn't get the headers with warm up cats.

Interesting. I wonder what else might be different. I guess if you use this engine in your car, then you'll have to use the existing wire harness from the old car, as this engine probably doesn't have the wiring for the cat O2 sensors?

Porsche's "exchange" motors are now $13,900+$3,000 core, USD. This one is new, outright with no core charge. We are always open to offers on just about anything posted here, BTW.
