Another new guy just saying hi

Hi All,

My wife and I just recently picked up our new baby. This has been her dream car ever since it was on the cover of Road & Track back in 96 or so. After looking at and driving several cars we finally settled on this one. She is a 2006 Boxster S in Lapis Blue with a Stone Grey interior, 6-speed, power seats, and Xenon's. She is a one owner car with full history and 47K properly cared for miles. We have only had it a week so we are still in some disbelief that we are finally Porsche owners. I have already ordered Wayne's 101 Boxster projects book and a full set of filters so that I am ready to properly take care of this little girl.

Glad you finally got your dream, I know just how you feel!!
I think you are in trouble though, the wife looks way to happy in the drivers seat!!! I've seen that "Porsche grin" before.....

Thanks very much. Like I said the Boxster has been my wife's dream car for many years. She would really love a 356 Speedster but this is about as close as we will get.

I too have always thought they were awesome but it wasn't until I found this site where I realized that they really are not too bad to work on and parts prices are not totally out of sight.

Of course I pushed for the "S", she would have been happy with a 2.7L but I wanted the extra grunt.

Congratulations! That car looks strangely familiar...I have the same one! Mine is a standard with tan interior with 19inch carrera wheels. Such a fun car to drive, you'll love it!

pasta, I haven't heard of many people getting good performance out of 19" wheels?
