2009 Boxster - Failure to start
Not really sure of this being a weird problem or not but it passed a Electronics test performed at a local Porsche dealership. Every now and then the car just does not turn over. A friend of mine thinks its the security system makes the car wait about 5 minutes before you can restart the engine. Is this common or a Porsche flaw?

Nope, nothing like that exists. I'd be willing to bet your electric portion of your ignition switch is wearing out (common failure on many cars). Here's a link to my article on how to fix it: Pelican Technical Article: Boxster Ignition Switch Replacement - 986 / 987
Hope this helps, Wayne

Is this vehicle covered under warranty? Is it a 6-speed or PDK? Is your carpet wet? Is the spoiler issue constant or intermittant like this issue? The two issues could be connected, as an entended spoiler is an indication of a terminal 15 circuit failure.
This is not common, nor a Porsche flaw. |
