I've joined the Boxster crowd

05 Boxster S tiptronic, picked it up Saturday in Atlanta. 37k miles looks as new inside and out.

Thanks guys, the Boxster is "a whole different animal" than the 911 in terms of handling. I took a little ride in the mountains of NC saturday after I got back from Atlanta and found that if you can keep it pointed in the right direction it will litterally consume some twisties......

Here's the deal I believe that a sports car should always be stick...... They always have been for me... BUT I LOVE The TIP takes a little getting used to in the mountains. I am happy that I made the choice I did.

Thanks! Seems most people who get them say similar to your opinion. I'm a purist at heart, but the reality of my life is best served with a manumatic. Quite likely my next car will be a Tip.

Cheers!

Nice looking car, the Carrera wheels look great! What roads were you driving in western NC? Hwy 28 out of Franklin to Bryson City is a fun one

Also if you find yourself in a situation where it is not pointed in the right direction the proper inputs will correct that situation, so practice in a safe place & never give up, Boxsters always do what you make it do.

Welcome! I'm about to sell my scissors lift, as I just can't stand it (I see yours in the photo). Firstly, you need those goofy ramps you have there. Then, the lift always gets i the way of working on the car. I'm going to replace it with a portable two-post lift.

the scissors lift is the only thing I can use in my garage becasue of the very low ceiling

Great looking car! Good luck! I can't wait for winter to end here in CT. I warm up my Boxster S in the driveway hoping for Spring some day. I almost got stuck last weekend in a snow drift in my driveway as I was dreaming of a warm summer day.

This months Excellence called NC 28 north of Franklin, NC "The Road of Milk and Honey." That was after driving the tail of the Dragon Check it out one weekend but keep you eyes open for deer crossing the road...

I'm back to jack stands - the lift just takes up too much room, and makes working on the car much more difficult. At least it does for me.
