Coolant help!

Just did a coolant drain and replace water pump and thermostat.
I got about 5 gallons of coolant out but it is a yellow color. It looks clean but I noticed Porsche OEM is pink. I am worried about mixing these 2 since you never get 100% of all the old coolant out.

Should I be worried?

Thanks

flush as much of it out as you can. then put your fluid in, remember to cut it 50/50 with distilled water. Don't use tap water

Good reason below.

What Coolant To Use - RennTech.org Forums

Will do one vacuum in of pure distilled water and flush just to be sure.

If you're very concerned, you can simply do this. Empty out the car of all coolant, and then refill with distilled water. Run the car for a short drive with the heater on, and then empty the coolant out again. Repeat if needed. Then, refill with the Porsche OEM pink stuff. That would be the gold-plated treatment.

In reality, the pink and yellow stuff are supposedly compatible, as per Porsche.

Well as they say nothing is to good, time consuming or expensive for my Porsche!

Vacuum fill with D water, heater on,, run for a while then drain and vacuum fill with the girly pink stuff.
