Bose or Non-Bose?

How can I tell if my craptastic CDR 24 head unit in my 06 Boxster is a Bose or not? It doesn't say Bose anywhere on it or on the speaker grills on the door. I want to install a custom double din kit and I'm wondering if I'm going to run into trouble if the system is Bose.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I'm pretty sure all Bose systems say Bose on the speakers. If nothing says Bose, I'd say you're w/o it.

The CDR 24 is made by Becker. Bose is the speaker maker. If your speakers in the door say Bose or you have the rear shelf double sub-woofer/mid range that says Bose then you have Bose.

You might want to run a VIN check at the following link. It will give you all the options your car came with.

Porsche VIN Decoder, VIN Lookup, Decode VIN

I've got the CDR23 and high end Bose in my Boxster S and I must say it's the best sounding system I've ever had. Even with the top down.

I believe the easiest way to find it out is that:
If you have a subwoofer below the rollbar hoops then you have Bose if you don't have the subwoofer you don't have Bose

Mine has CDR 24 head and it says Bose on the speaker grills, and also has the surround sound module thingy below the roll bar.
